Richard Olson,63, served as US Ambassador to Pakistan from October 31,2012 to October 27,2015,under President Barack Obama.For one year,from November 17,2015 to November 17,2016,he served as US Special Representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan.Richard Olson also served as US Ambassador to the UAE from 2008 to 2011 under President George W.Bush.He served as the Obama administration’s special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan from 2015 to 2016.Within 1 year, Qatar has pleaded guilty to illegal lobbying, including lying and concealing information during ethical paperwork, and violating the law after retiring from federal service.According to the Washington Post,Olson’s defense attorneys pleaded guilty to the charges in a pre-trial hearing in Washington’s federal court yesterday.And they agree with the federal prosecution.Each offense is punishable by up to 1 year in prison.Richard Olson will be sentenced on September 13 this year
