Paul Sorvino Dies aged 83

Paul Anthony Sorvino was an American actor, opera singer, businessman, writer, and sculptor. He often portrayed authority figures on both sides of the law and was known for his roles as Paulie Cicero in the 1990 gangster film Goodfellas, and NYPD Sergeant Phil Cerreta on the TV series Law & Order.

He was 83 year old. Paul has died due to natural causes. Roger Neal, a publicist of Paul Sorvino announced his death. He said that “ā€œOur hearts are broken, There will never be another Paul Sorvino, he was the love of my life, and one of the greatest performers to ever grace the screen and stage.ā€

His daughter, Mira Katherine Sorvino is an American actress. She won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Woody Allen’s Mighty Aphrodite.

She expressed her sorrow on twitter. She said that “My father the great Paul Sorvino has passed. My heart is rent asunder- a life of love and joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. Iā€™m sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend.”
