At the end of the fourth day, Pakistan is in a position to win the match. Pakistan’s position is strong to win this match, Pakistan has to score 120 runs in one day and  also has 7 wickets left. Today, Pakistan showed the best batting performance. At the end of the day, Pakistan’s score was 222 runs at the lost of 3 wickets. In the fourth day’s play, Sri Lanka added 8 runs and took their total to 337 runs. Sri Lanka set Pakistan a target of 342 runs to win the match. Pakistan started their second innings very well with both the openers of Pakistan showing excellent batting and scoring 68 runs in the first session without losing any wickets. Abdullah Shafiq and Babar Azam took over the batting for the Pakistani team after the early dismissals of Imam-ul-Haq (35) and Azhar Ali (6) in the second session.  Babar Azam scored 55 runs and was bowled by Jayasuriya. Abdullah Shafiq scored a brilliant century and continued to play at the crease with Mohammad Rizwan till the end of the day.

Now on the fifth day, Pakistan need 120 runs to win the match and Pakistan have seven wickets left. Due to Pakistan’s excellent batting, the match has entered an interesting phase. It will be very difficult for Pakistani batsmen to play on the pitch tomorrow, so Pakistani batsmen may have a hard time. Pakistan can easily win the match due to a good partnership.
