Arshad Nadeem Brings Gold Medal For Pakistan in Common Wealth Games
Arshad Nadeem has won the first gold medal.
He won the gold medal by throwing the longest throw in the Commonwealth Games. Despite an elbow injury, he threw a Commonwealth Games record 90m throw and won the gold medal.
People all over the world are surprised that it is impossible to throw such a long throw with an injury but this guy made it possible and won his first gold medal for Pakistan. No athlete has ever thrown 90 meters at a Commonwealth Games before.
Pakistan has won two gold medals in the Commonwealth Games so far. Pakistan has won the first gold medal in weightlifting, in which Noah Dastgir of Pakistan won the gold medal by lifting a record weight of 405 kg.
Arshad Nadeem is a Pakistani athlete specialising in javelin throw. He represents WAPDA in domestic competition. In Dec 2019, he established a new South Asian Games record in javelin throw with a distance of 86.29 m, thus securing direct qualification for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
