The new rulers have brought with them a terrible wave of crises. With the diesel and water crisis in the Seraiki region, farmers are pushing on pumps at the same time as harvesting and sowing crops, no one is listening. The current rulers, who are responsible for making milk waves in the country during the power struggle, have failed to provide milk, water and diesel. These views were expressed by the protesters during a protest rally against the diesel and water crisis at Southern Bypass Chowk, led by Central President Seraikistan Democratic Party Inayatullah Mashreqi. Dr. Zafar Hans, Shoaib Al Hassan Saeedi, Shoaib Nawaz Baloch, Rana Usman Noon, Muhammad Tahir Bhatta, Yusuf Kharal, Naeem Khan Zahid Bhatta, Muhammad Osama, Yusuf Bilal, Muhammad Kashif, Muhammad Adnan, Sohail Zahoor and others were present on the occasion.

Inayatullah Mashriqi said that the standing crop of wheat was on the verge of destruction and cotton could not be replaced due to lack of diesel. The rulers should provide immediate diesel to the farmers or else there will be protests all over Seraiki Wasib. About 70% of the country’s agriculture is dependent on diesel, but this week a diesel crisis has erupted, leaving neither diesel for machinery nor diesel for running tube wells.

Dr. Zafar Hans, Shoaib Al Hassan Saeedi and Shoaib Nawaz Baloch said that the use of diesel for transportation of agricultural machinery and goods in Seraiki Waseeb is indispensable which not only drives agriculture but also the delivery wheel of goods. Lack of water and diesel is affecting cotton sowing.

Rana Usman Noon, Mohammad Tahir Bhatta and Yousuf Kharal said that wheat harvesting and cotton cultivation season is in Seraiki Waseeb. Tube wells are also powered by diesel.

Naeem Khan Zahid Bhatta, Mohammad Osama, Yousuf Bilal, Mohammad Kashif, Mohammad Adnan and Sohail Zahoor said that with the advent of new government another crisis has arisen and diesel has become scarce in different cities. Diesel is rare in various cities of Seraiki region including Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Lodhran. Farmers are worried about the closure of agricultural machinery in different areas while there is a danger of crop being affected.

The protesters demanded the current government to overcome the water and diesel crisis as soon as possible and prevent the standing crop of wheat from being destroyed and the sowing of cotton from being affected otherwise the protests would start in Seraiki Wasib.

Protesters, led by Central President Seraikistan Democratic Party Inayatullah Mashriqi, are chanting anti-government slogans against the diesel and water crisis at the Southern Bypass Chowk.
